Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By accessing this website ("the Service"), joining the waitlist, or using the demo, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using it, you represent that you meet this requirement and have the legal capacity to agree to these Terms.

3. The Demo

The application at /app.html is a demonstration. Travelers, plans, group chats, messages and statistics shown are simulated for product illustration. No real people are matched and no real meetups are arranged through the current demo. Data you enter in the demo is stored only in your browser (localStorage) and never transmitted to our servers.

4. Waitlist

If you submit your email to the waitlist, you consent to receive email from Tripibe about the product launch in your region. You may unsubscribe at any time by replying to any such email or contacting us. See our Privacy Policy for storage details.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
• Harass, threaten, defame, impersonate or harm any other user.
• Submit false information or use the Service to commit fraud.
• Attempt to access, scrape, reverse-engineer or interfere with the Service or its infrastructure.
• Upload malware, spam or send unsolicited commercial messages.
• Use the Service to solicit minors or for any sexual purpose involving minors.

6. User-Arranged Meetups

When the production product launches, users will be able to arrange real-world meetups. Any meetup you arrange is at your own risk. Tripibe does not employ, endorse or supervise users. You are solely responsible for your own safety, conduct, and any consequences of meetups you organize or attend.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on the Service (logo, design, code, copy) is owned by Tripibe or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute it without prior written permission, except for personal, non-commercial use.

8. Third-Party Services

The Service uses third-party providers including Vercel (hosting), Airtable (waitlist storage), Google Fonts, Google AdSense, OpenStreetMap and CARTO (map tiles), and Leaflet (map library). Your use of the Service is also subject to their respective terms and privacy policies where they apply.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tripibe and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of profits, personal injury, or any harm arising out of or related to your use of the Service or any meetup arranged through it.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, for any reason, including suspected violation of these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time and request deletion of your waitlist record by contacting us.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the website. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the operator's country of incorporation. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer protection laws of your residence apply.
