How Tripibe works
A real-time social layer for travelers. Find people nearby who want the same experience right now — not followers, not dating, just real moments.
What is Tripibe?
Tripibe is a temporary social layer for travelers. When you arrive in a city, you can see who else is nearby, what they're up for, and join (or start) spontaneous plans — coffee, rooftop drinks, sunrise photography, anything.
Your profile auto-expires when your trip ends. There are no followers, no permanent feeds, no dating pressure. Just intent + location + timing.
Getting started in 60 seconds
- Open the demo → pick your language (EN / TH / ZH).
- Choose a city — Bangkok, Bali, Tokyo, Seoul or Lisbon.
- Tell us your vibe — adventurous, chill, foodie, social… up to you.
- Pick what you're up for — nightlife, food, hiking, coworking, photography, temples, etc.
- You're in — browse the feed, open the map, join a room, or post your own plan.
The Feed
The Feed is your home base. It shows three things in real time:
- Active plans nearby — what people are doing right now or tonight.
- People nearby — verified travelers with overlapping intents.
- City social pulse — live stats on who's out, what's trending.
Use the filter chips at the top to narrow by intent (food, nightlife, coworking, etc).
The Map
A live dark map of your city. Avatars show travelers at their last-known location. Pink ⚡ markers are active plans you can tap and join. Heat circles show social density — where the energy is.
Creating a "Who's Down?"
Tap the big + button at the bottom. Use a preset (rooftop, street food, cafe, sunrise photo) or write your own. Add when, where, max group size, and language. Publish — people nearby see it instantly.
Tips for good plans
- Be specific about time and place — "Rooftop at Vertigo, 9pm" beats "drinks somewhere tonight".
- Keep group size small (3–6) for spontaneous plans — easier to coordinate.
- If your vibe changes, update it in your profile so matches stay relevant.
Group Rooms
Rooms are temporary micro-communities for your city — Foodies, Nightlife, Nomads, Photographers, Solo Travelers. Join one, say hi, see what people are planning. Rooms auto-archive after inactivity.
Safety
Safety is the #1 thing for a real-world meetup product. Today's demo includes basic indicators (verified badges, trust scores). The full launch adds:
- Selfie + passport verification for full-trust profiles.
- Behavioral scoring — repeat reports automatically reduce visibility.
- Live location sharing with a trusted contact during meetups.
- Women-only mode and verified-only filters.
- One-tap report with 24/7 human review.
When you meet someone: always meet in a public place the first time. Tell a friend where you're going. Trust your gut — leave if something feels off.
FAQ
Is this a dating app?
No. Dating apps optimize for attraction. Tripibe optimizes for shared real-world experiences. The UX is intent-first, not photo-first.
Is it free?
Yes — core use is free. We'll add an optional premium tier (~$8–12/mo) for advanced discovery, AI recommendations, and unlimited rooms.
What happens to my profile when my trip ends?
It auto-expires. You can return on your next trip and pick up your history if you want, or start fresh.
Which cities are live?
In the demo, all 5 cities are browsable: Bangkok 🇹🇭, Bali 🇮🇩, Tokyo 🇯🇵, Seoul 🇰🇷, Lisbon 🇵🇹. Real launch order will follow social density — Bangkok and Bali first.
Where does my email go when I join the waitlist?
Into our private Airtable. We use it only to email you when we open in your city. We never sell or share it. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Will there be ads?
The marketing pages on this site may display Google AdSense to help fund development. The app itself stays ad-free for the user experience.
